CENTRAL COMMITTEE

The Central Committee is the governing body of the Washoe County Republican Party. Joining the Central Committee is your chance to guide the direction of your local, state and national Republican Party. The Central Committee:

  • Elects all party officers
  • Elects state party members and state convention delegates
  • Controls the party platform
  • Controls the party bylaws
  • Is the voting body for all party business

The Central Committee meets monthly to conduct the aforementioned business, and to enjoy the company of other freedom-loving Americans. We are growing rapidly and are fired up to make Nevada free again. Get in here!

As indicated in the Bylaws, should you be absent for either the meeting when you will be nominated or the meeting when you will be elected, please notify the Secretary by either calling 775-827-1900  or emailing secretary@washoegop.org.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEMBERS

1. Serve a two-year term (until the next county convention)
2. Attend WCRCC monthly meetings on a regular basis.
3. Be willing to serve on one of the following WCRCC committees. Audit

4. Have literature and information available on Republican candidates for the primary and help campaign for the Republican Ticket in the general election.
5. Support WCRCC fundraising activities such as the Lincoln Day Dinner and the Century Club by volunteering to help and/or attending the events.
6. Volunteer to serve at voter registration events.
7. Support election activities by volunteering to make calls, walk precincts, and work in the office during campaigns, GOTV efforts, and other election activities.
