The Washoe County Republican Party expresses its deep concern and support for the
residents and firefighters impacted by the Davis Fire in Northern Nevada. This
destructive wildfire that has burned over 5,000 acres and destroyed multiple structures,
and displaced thousands of Northern Nevadans has now been declared a State of
Emergency. We extend our deepest gratitude for the tireless efforts of local firefighters
and emergency personnel who are putting their lives on the line to protect our
community.
We call on state and federal officials to continue to provide necessary resources to
combat this fire and assist in recovery efforts for our community. As conservative
leaders, we strongly urge Nevadans in the region of this fire to stay informed, follow
evacuation orders, and prioritize their safety. We are reminded of the strength and
resilience of Nevadans, and we are proud to see how our commitment to each other
becomes stronger and more evident in times of crisis.
For everyone who has endured physical duress and emotional turmoil as a result
of the fires this summer: please know our prayers have been, and still are, with
you.
